The study on the seagrass Enhalus acoroides in Bayas Island, Estancia, Iloilo, highlights its essential role in coastal ecosystems while under threat from human activities like poaching and recreational use. Using the transect-quadrat method, it was observed that station 2 had the highest seagrass percent cover and shoot density, while station 1 had the lowest, indicating varying levels of seagrass health across the sampling sites. The findings offer crucial baseline data on the biological and ecological aspects of E. acoroides, aiding future conservation and management strategies for these vital marine environments.
