Seagrasses, particularly Enhalus acoroides, are vital to the coastal ecosystem of Bayas Island, Estancia, Iloilo, serving essential ecological roles, yet they face threats from human activities such as poaching and fishing. This study utilized the transect-quadrat method across three random sampling stations to assess the distribution, cover, and density of seagrass, finding that station 2 had the highest seagrass percent cover and shoot density compared to stations 1 and 3. The gathered data highlights the varying health of seagrass beds across stations and establishes a baseline for future conservation and management initiatives.
