Over the past five decades, the field of export business research has undergone significant evolution, experiencing systematic, sophisticated, and rigorous advancements, which moved it from the initial stages of exploration to a more established domain within international business research. This study provides a bibliographic analysis of 821 export business-related articles, identifying trends in authorship, high-impact articles, major contributors, and thematic concerns within the field, revealing an extensive coverage and improved quality over time. The analysis also offers guidelines for future research, emphasizing issues identified in recent publications that could further contribute to the academic discourse on exporting.
