This study aimed to develop a computer-based system to monitor student attendance and absences with one-way interactive text messaging for the Guidance Office at Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College. The system is designed with stand-alone architecture, allowing the Guidance Counselor to act as the administrator, and it provides easy access and reporting capabilities for department heads. An SMS notification service is included to inform parents or guardians when their child is absent, and the system's performance is improved by 1111% compared to the previous system.
