This descriptive study evaluated the competency level of public elementary teachers in the Estancia, Iloilo district using the National Competency-Based Teacher Standards (NCBTS) through the Teachers Strengths and Needs Assessment (TSNA) tool. Results highlighted that teachers were most competent in Domain 1: Social Regard for Learning, but needed improvement in Domain 4: Curriculum, specifically in incorporating ICT in teaching and selecting suitable teaching methods and materials for diverse learners. The study recommends including training focused on these areas in the in-service program for public elementary teachers to enhance their competencies in Domain 4.
