The study aimed to evaluate the file transfer performance between the CCBoot and iShareDisk boot systems in a network environment by testing different client numbers and file sizes. Utilizing seven personal computers, the researchers measured transfer speed in Megabytes per second and analyzed the data using statistical methods like the Mean, Kruskal-Wallis, and Mann-Whitney U tests. Results indicated that while CCBoot performed faster with a small number of clients and larger file sizes, iShareDisk was quicker with small file sizes and averaged or heavy client loads, though the overall difference in performance was not statistically significant.
