This study investigated the relationship between English proficiency and academic performance among AB English freshmen, utilizing a descriptive correlational research method at NISU main campus. It found significant English proficiency differences based on the students' General Weighted Average (GWA), despite showing no notable variances related to their high school of graduation or interview results. The study concluded that there is a relationship between English proficiency and academic performance, suggesting that they influence each other.
